The walls of the Mount Gran Sasso at sunset, from the crag of Fano Adriano.

The view from Fano Adriano:
In the foreground, you can see the Corno Piccolo (2655m); behind it, on the left, is the Corno Grande (2014m).
From left to right: the Paretone [=Big Wall] of Corno Grande, partly shaded and in background.
In the background too, on the right of Corno Grande, you can see the glacial basin of the Calderone glacier, with a surviving spit of ice.
Then, in the foreground and in the middle, there is the Corno Piccolo . From left to right you can see first the Northern Wall, followed by the "Prima Spalla" [=First Rampart]. On the right of the Prima Spalla, lower, there is the "Seconda Spalla" [=Seconda Rampart], separated by the Gully Bonacossa. The peak of the Corno Piccolo rises between the northern Wall and the Prima Spalla [=First Rampart].
In the background, between the Prima and Seconda Spalla [First and second Rampart], peeks out Mount Intermesoli (2635m).
In the left bottom corner, there is the town of Pietracamela, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, with behind, well visible, the wall of its homonymous crag.
