Description

Beautiful crag, above the Carpineto della Nora town. It was discovered in 1990 by Sergio Di Renzo, which, together with Biase Persico, Claudio Sulpizio, Giorgio Ferretti and Roberto Rosica opened many of its routes.  In subsequent years Daniele Adriani opened new amazing routes, too. 2014 is the time of the very young Andrea D’Addazio, which reassesses the rightmost and the leftmost sides of this rock wall, opening several new short and demanding routes, valid alternative to the classic continuous overhangs. More recently, other new routes were opened by Maurizio Tufoni, too.

The climbing style of this crag is very demanding and requires endurance.

Approach

Exit from Carpineto della Nora, direction Catignano. Just outside Carpineto, at the signs to “La Rocca” restaurant, turn right taking an uphill road. Continue for about 2-3 km up to an evident rock wall on the right. Park your car below the grassy slope, at a fork.

From the parking spot, take the uphill path through the grassy slope, up to the rock wall (2 minutes)
