Description
This guide contains two crags recently equipped by Giorgio Delfino on the West side of Rocca di Perti: the Falesia della Lucertola (=Lizard Crag) and the Falesia del Gabbiano (=Seagull Crag). Equipped in 2015 by Giorgio Delfino, it have similar features. both are good for climbing in winter, and during the mid seasons; both have a not much long approach, and are good for families with children. The routes are about 24, all well equipped, on excellent rough limestone, of low/medium difficulty (only few routes are not free climbed yet), through vertical or slightly overhanging wall, with the characteristic pockets of Finale. The routes are almost all nice, so many unmissable routes are out of the list.
Approach
Take the A10 highway (Autostrada dei Fiori) and exit at Finale Ligure. Once at the runabout, take the downhill road to Finale. Once at the following runabout turn left toward the Calice town (SP17). Continue along the main road for about 1.5 Km. Passed a bottleneck and some houses on the right, look for a fork on the right, with the sign to “Zona monumentale di Perti”. Once at this fork turn right and continue uphill for about 1Km, up to a small square with a church (Church of Sant’Eusebio). Park at this small square or after the church.
