
Francesco Berni
At 22 followed his first training course of Speleology, and immediately thereafter followed the Graduate Course of Speleology, and the one preparatory to the exam of Instructor at the National Speleology School of the Italian Alpin Club (CAI).
Fro 5 years he has practiced speleological activities in Italy and abroad and has explored new underground caves in Umbria, Marche, and Abruzzo.

Even if he knew the world of climbing at 13, he has started climbing since he was 24. He is a FASI Climbing Instructor and climbed many routes up to the 8a grade.
He is a member of the CRASC team (Centro Ricerca Attrezzature Speleo-Alpinistiche e Canyoning crasc.it, that is Research and Equipment Center Speleological Mountaineering and Canyoning) for research and testing on the technical appareils materials, that carries out its tests for many important institutions in Italy and abroad, as the Central Board of the Nation School of Speleology.

Since December 2016 he has started (together with Franck Migliorati and Lorenzo Berni) the setting of a new crag on the slope of the Nerone Mountain.
