Descrizione

This guide contains two historical crags of Rocca di Corno: the Falesia del Ghiro and Futura, located on the same cliff, 50 meters from each other.

It were equipped by Giorgio Delfino between 1999 and 2005, with glue-on bolts.

The routes are od medium length and low/medium difficulty, through vertical walls, overhangs and corners. Only one of the two ares is good for families with children.

Both are good for climbing during the mid seasons, and for a half day, in summer. Both are not recommended for winter climbing.

Accesso stradale

FROM GENOVA:

Take the A10 highway (Autostrada dei Fiori), direction Ventimiglia, and exit at Spotorno. Then turn right toward Tosse town. Pass Tosse, and go toward Magnone. Pass Magnone too, and continuerà to the junction to Finale.Once at this junction, turn right (direction Finale), then continue downhill for 3km, toward the bottom of the valley. Once at a fork turn left and continue downhill for about other 3 Km, up to the first houses of Verzi, on the left, and a widening in front of a Trattoria. Continue; in short you find a little bridge on the left that leads to the center of Verzi. From Verzi take the road that climbing with hairpin bends up to the top. Look for a dirty road in correspondence of a right bend, indicated by the sign “Via Iulia Augusta” (It’s an ancient roman road). Take this road and continue for about 600m, up to the first parking spot: a widening. You can go further by car, crossing the ancient roman bridge (Ponte delle Fate). 100 m after this bridge there is a second parking spot (200 m from the first widening).

FROM PIETRA LIGURE:

Take the A10 highway (Autostrada dei Fiori), direction Genova, and exit at Finale Ligure. Continue downhill for about 3km, up to the junctio with the Aurelia road (SS1). Once at this junction, turn left toward Finale Ligure. Continue up to Finale and pass the city. Short exited from Finale, before a tunnel, turn left to Calvisio - Vezzi Portio, then continue on the road along the river for about circa 2Km, up to a little bridge on the right. This bridge leads to the Verzi town. Then continue as indicated above (that as from Genova)
